About Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch dates back to 1748 and a small pottery in what is now known as Luxembourg. The company bears the names of the founders, Francois Boch, and another potter, Nicholas Villeroy, who merged their booming enterprises in 1836. A marriage between two family members just 15 years later helped seal the business union.
In 2008 Villeroy & Boch celebrated its 260th anniversary. Reaching such an historic milestone is a glowing testimonial to the vision of the creators and each succeeding generation of family who have brought new life and interpretation, direction and imagination, integrity and quality to an abiding spirit of innovation and development. Villeroy & Boch produces dinnerware in a variety of ceramic materials–porcelain, bone china and earthenware.
